Payroll & Accounts Manager - Permanent - RemoteSalary: up to £36,000 (DOE) Job SummaryPortfolio Payroll are currently working with a large organisation in the Manchester area who are currently recruiting for a Payroll & Accounts Manager to join their team. They provide an excellent working environment, work from home opportunity and fantastic perks & benefits! The client is going through a period of growth and need a non-managing Payroll & Accounts professional from an accountancy practice background to join their busy payroll department.The role may require some office presence in Manchester one to two times a month.To be best suitable for this role you will also have a short notice of less than a month. Key Duties/Tasks: * Manage the full end-to-end payroll process for client payrolls, ensuring that all payrolls are accurate, completed on time, and all statutory submissions are performed within required deadlines * Auto-enrolment duties on client payrolls including upload of new starters, monthly contributions and cyclical re-enrolment * Processing accounts/accounting responsibilities for clients * Sit in Client meetings to discuss issues and priorities * Working well with conflicting priorities and deadlines * Operate flexibly and have a desire to learn new systems and processes in a supportive environment * Be proactive and accountable to the highest calibre of professionalism, service and accuracy Desirable skills and attributes: * Experience of Sage People or Brain Payroll is essential * Experience managing high volume payroll(s) with 1000+ Employees * Experience of working in an accountancy practice * Experience of processing accounts responsibilities within an accountancy practice * Strong Excel Skills, including competency in vlookup, pivot tables and intermediate formulas * Knowledge of P11Ds/payrolled benefits * Communicative fluency, both verbal and in documentation * Ability to manage own workload * Excitement about flexibility, independence, initiative and knowledge-sharing in your job * Commitment to clients, team and a Phase 3 role * Add extra value to your application with experience of more than one of the following: CoreHR, iTrent, ResourceLink, Salesforce, Sage People Payroll, BrightPay SAP, Unit 4, Business Objects, Cognos, SQL reporting (or legacy equivalents) Benefits * Pension * Bonus * Unlimited holidays * Health/Dental care * Employee Assistance programme * Fully flexible working timesNormal working hours are 37.5 hours per week.
